About This Game Scourge of War: Waterloo follows in the footsteps of its American Civil War predecessors and takes the action to one of the most famous battles in history. It is by far the most detailed game about the final battle of the War of the Seventh Coalition. The game boasts 20 historical scenarios (from the French, Prussian and British perspectives), 3 multiplayer scenarios, unlimited user generated sandbox scenarios, and a sandbox campaign, which adds a campaign layer to the game providing more context for sandbox battles.GameplayAt first glance, the player is tasked with moving huge bodies of troops into position to crush the enemy, be it with sheer numbers or superior tactics. In reality though, there is a whole lot more going on. First of all Scourge of War: Waterloo offers a lot more realism than any similar title on the market, having historical unit names, weapons, formations etc. More importantly, however, is the fact that the game simulates the complete chain of command. Players are not by definition placed on top of this chain (though it is possible), but are often placed somewhere in between. Meaning that during the battle, they get orders from above, interpret them and form a strategy with them, then, they will send out their couriers to deliver their own orders to the units directly under their control.StyleScourge of War: Waterloo has 2D sprites drawn on a 3D terrain and in doing so, is capable of showing far larger armies than most games out there. Players can zoom out to great heights to get the best overview of the battle, or zoom in and get right into the action. All units have historical uniforms and carry historical flags. Leaders stand out well enough to easily find them.InterfaceThe user interface had a major overhaul compared to previous SoW titles. The number of buttons on the screen has been reduced and replaced by a context-sensitive popup menu (optional) and it is now easier than ever to set formations in the desired position and with the preferred facing. Additionally, the new order of battle browser and a host of other new screens make it so that players will only have their own strategies to blame for failure.FeaturesHuge Napoleonic-era armies marching and fighting across enormous historical maps.A great amount of content, including 20 singleplayer scenariosAn all new Sandbox campaign mode adding a strategic layer to your tactical battlesTons of engine tweaks and adjustments to suit Napoleonic Warfare- Units can now take cover in buildings!New and improved interface for easier command and controlHighly accurate historical battlefield maps and general purpose battle maps.Realistic weather.Courier system for dispatches.Extensively researched historical order of battle for the full Battle of WaterlooReal time combat command of a brigade, division or corpsRandom play mode to generate battles.Routing server for multiplayer play.Multiplayer online combat in several modes, including: Standard opposite sides, cooperative play versus the AI ,play embedded within historical battle scenarios.Random play mode to generate battles of brigade, division, or corps size on any of the included maps.Extensive option set to tailor the game experience to the players preference and to allow good game performance on a wide range of systems.Full modding support including a moddable AI.Sounds and Smoke effects to bring the battles to life.Multiplayer games that can support as much as 32 players 1075eedd30 Title: Scourge of War: WaterlooGenre: Simulation, StrategyDeveloper:NorbSoftDevPublisher:Slitherine Ltd.Release Date: 19 Nov, 2015 Scourge Of War: Waterloo Download 100mb Pc scourge of war waterloo grog toolbar. scourge of war waterloo system requirements. scourge of war waterloo patch. scourge of war waterloo multiplayer. how to play scourge of war waterloo. scourge of war waterloo tutorial. kriegsspiel scourge of war waterloo. scourge of war waterloo crack. scourge of war waterloo ks mod. scourge of war waterloo manual. scourge of war waterloo performance. scourge of war waterloo youtube. scourge of war waterloo demo download. scourge of war waterloo video. scourge of war waterloo steam. scourge of war waterloo scenario generator. scourge of war waterloo guide. scourge of war waterloo cavalry. you tube waterloo scourge of war. scourge of war waterloo maps. scourge of war waterloo sandbox campaign. scourge of war waterloo review. scourge of war waterloo indir. scourge of war waterloo update. scourge of war waterloo scenarios. scourge of war waterloo descargar. scourge of war waterloo manual pdf. scourge of war waterloo steam key. scourge of war waterloo skachat torrent. scourge of war waterloo download. scourge of war waterloo let's play. scourge of war waterloo pc game. scourge of war gettysburg/waterloo. scourge of war waterloo sandbox. scourge of war waterloo fr. scourge of war waterloo wiki. scourge of war waterloo test. scourge of war waterloo cheats. scourge of war waterloo. scourge of war waterloo collector's edition. scourge of war waterloo courier. scourge of war waterloo sprites. scourge of war waterloo campaign. scourge of war waterloo sprite ratio This game is really good and there is no way I could not recommend it. However I will say if you are not into strategy, and you play simple strategy like civ and want to stay simple, then this may not be for you. The depth of command structure is amazing and gives the game a unique feel. While I do like total war games, this for strategy really out does TW and makes you feel in the saddle more. While the graphics are not the best, I feel for this game they are good enough, and it makes up in game play. There are however some problems with it. For instance I think there needs to be a tutorial for the campaign because it is a bit confusing. Yes there is a huge manual for learning stuff, but you sometimes have to really dig to find stuff. Don't let that put you off though, sandbox battles are still pretty easy to get used to. There are some small bugs like the couriers spamming you with the same message in sandbox battle. But overall I would suggest you get it, maybe on a sale, and hopefully the great devs do some more updates to fix some issues.. Let's cut to the chase. First, the pros & cons...PROSImmersion - The Napoleonic battlefield is arguably one of the hardest to model in computer games. To my knowledge this is the ONLY computer wargame in recent memory that makes a reasonable attempt at doing so. It may look antiquated & crude but it FEELS right.Realtime combat - Bye-bye turned based gameplay and sayonara to squares & hexes!Delayed orders - This is how war was waged in the early gunpowder era, with couriers crossing the battlefield on horse to deliver orders to subordinates who may or may not fulfill them to the general's desire! Yes, you can turn this off for instant gratification or if your AI subordinate pulls a bonehead move.AI - The AI can put up a surprisingly good fight provided it doesn't have too much to worry about. Smaller battles between evenly matched forces are more challenging, larger battles only when your force is deliberately understrengthed or handicapped compared to the AI's. Multiplayer - I've not tried it but apparently this game shines in multiplayer. Teams can assign players to control individual Corps or Divisions, simulating an actual chain of command!CONSGraphics - Mediocre but serviceable. Despite the simplistic graphics the shortcomings of the game engine will challenge high-end machines for the larger battles.Interface - Clunky and awkward.AI - As good as the AI can be it can also be incredibly bone headed and inconsistent. The more complex or larger the scenario, the worse it performs. Campaign - There is a strategic campaign! Sadly, it desperately needs updating and polish.Mod recommended - This game should be played with graphic and/or gameplay mods to maximize enjoyment and minimize the headaches. I strongly recommend you check out Kriegsspiel's 'KS Napoleon Mod II' mod.Scourge of War Waterloo is NOT a title for the novice and/or impatient gamer, let alone those who are unwilling to deal with an awkward, poorly designed UI and the confusing dynamic of Napoleonic warfare. However one must keep in mind this is an indie title produced by a small, two man team (with assistance?) on a shoestring budget... and for better or worse, it shows. It feels like an incomplete game, as if the developers simply didn't have the ability (lack of free time?) or inclination to address its shortcomings and upgrade and patch it to the satisfaction of the community. It feels like a passion project undertaken by people with full-time jobs & families who were only able to work on it in their spare time and unable to give it the full attention it deserved. Lackluster sales may have exacerbated the problem, discouraging further development on this title beyond the last campaign DLC.However, if you are tired of turn based, hex based tactical wargames and are curious and/or desperate to play a game that makes an attempt to simulate the reality of a Napoleonic battlefield AND possess the patience required to deal with the rough edges of an indie title then I strongly recommend you check this game out.I have mixed feelings about Scourge of War Waterloo. I love what it does well but find its shortcomings both annoying and frustrating. The brutal truth... Scourge of War Waterloo will delight as much as it disappoints. You have been warned!. the only massive battle simulator that i know of, are the scourgeof war series. it's a pitty tho that a grand campaign of training your troopsor recruiting new units doesn't exist, i was thinking something like the campaignof TW's. there are plenty of mods. and a nice community.if you are a hardcore strategy player you'd be missing out.anyway a battle can last over 12!! hours, with a battlefield that isfull of corpses. i will recommend it, if you're a hardcore player and not a casualone. it can seem intimidating at first, and difficuly to learn. but once u get the hang of it, i don't think any game can compare to the scale it SOW gives you.the game "les grognards" from what ive seen has also huge scale battles, but i haven't tried it out yet.. I'm sure we have all played games that were beautiful to look at and easy to learn and that damned near blew warm air up ones bum they were so accomodating and nice.Scourge of War:Waterloo is not one of them.It isn't particularly pretty but more than adequate for seeing what is going on around you and it even looks like Waterloo.Learning how to move your troops around is complex but in the time I've played I have got the hang of it.Would I be up to joining in the final battle?Nope, not yet, its the sort of game you have to learn and that is rather satisfying. There is a very good sandbox for beginers like me and I will bs fossicking round in there for a while yet..The music is fine, love a bit of Ludwick Van,the manual and the tutorial are both helpful and needed'..It is expensive but I think value for money..No bugs ,controls seem fine ,options of what you can actually do with your troops and the game in general is pretty stunning. The uniforms look right and the terrain likewise but this is much more than just a game for Napoleonic fans I think this will be a very, very good wargame.. Do not buy.. NOTE: If you are interested in trying this game out, go to the developer's website and check out their demo for Scourge of War Gettysburg since they are similar enough.***This is the game for the person that loves this particular period in warfare and is looking for the most authentic experience simulating those battles as possible. Sure, the game is not as pretty as Napoleon: Total War and is even mildly less appealing graphically than Histwar, but it makes up for this in spades by presenting as accurate a combat simulation that can be made of the Napoleonic Wars given today's technological constraints. There is a lot more going on under the hood than what you can gather from the screenshots - you have the opportunity to play the full battle of Waterloo in real time, simulating the nearly 200,000 soldiers that participated, generally in 1:4 scale. The Sandbox Campaign also lets you simulate the campaign in Belgium during the Hundred Days, so you might be able to radically change history that way as well.I am a huge fan of the era and so this game was a must have. Even though I am not as partial to Waterloo as other battles of the period (I would prefer Austerlitz, Wagram, Leipzig, or Jena-Auerstedt) the modding community has already provided a substantial amount of content and has created some of the OOBs for those battles already. If you think this game would be a good match for you, go to the developer's website and check out their demo for Scourge of War Gettysburg since they are similar enough. Overall, I would say the game is worth it for any fan of the Napoleonic Wars.
